Internet Provider > Free internet serviceFree internet service providerIs there a real free internet service provider out there? Well, that is according to what you think of as free and how much time you need on the internet. For a free internet service provider, NetZero and Juno still offer 10 hours of internet time with no strings attached. But, 10 hours is not very long if you enjoy surfing the web.
You can find free internet providers with other types of offers. Searchplanet.us has a free internet service. There are no limits as to how long you can surf around on the internet. Their only stipulation is that you complete one offer per month for the service to be free. There are several types of offers that you can apply for like applying for a free credit card or even joining a club. If you do not complete at least one offer a month the monthly service fee is $9.95. Address.com is another free internet service provider. Their catch is that you will receive web commercial from their sponsors while you are browsing, you have to log into your address.com email address at least twice per month, you also have to agree to participate in the Address Cash program and generate $7.50 per month, you also have to agree to only using address.com for your browsers homepage, search page, and start page. Access 4 free is also a free internet service provider. They offer you 10 hours a month with a $4.95 set up fee. You will be charged one dollar for every hour that you go over 10 hours to a maximum charge of $10. So, you can get unlimited hours for $10 per month. They also offer a fast and accelerated way for you to surf and that extra charge will be $3 per month. There is one more free internet service provider for some California residents only, Socal.net. You must live in the following cities in southern California to be able to use their free service Los Angeles, Orange County, Ventura County, Inland Empire, and San Diego County areas. This free service is unlimited in hours but has other limitation. It is designed for web browsing only. You can not set up a server, or connect with telnet, ftp, or other programs. They do block you from enjoying many services because of the use of a lot of bandwidth. You also do not get an email address. There will be many online game sites that will be blocked because of bandwidth usage and you will also not be allowed to share files or listen to music. This free internet service provider is only for surfing around the net, period. As you can tell, free internet service provider is a rare service to find
and when you do there are other things that you have to do in order to maintain
your free service. If you do not mind surfing around with pop ups and using
their homepage then address.com would not be bad, if you only want to service
and not get email on your computer then Socal.net is for you. If you prefer
to only use the internet for 10 hours a month then NetZero, Juno or Access
4 Free is all you need. If you want unlimited hours with no pop ups and all
you need to do is complete one offer a month then Searchplanet.us is the way
for you. |
