Satellite internet provider

If you live in a rural area where no DSL or cable television is available, do not worry you can also have high speed internet. A satellite internet provider will give you the great speed for surfing around the net. It may be a little slower than surfing with DSL or cable, but is quite a bit faster than dial-up.

A satellite internet provider will set you up with a two way data communications center that will have you surfing and enjoying your time on your computer in no time. This is also for great for businesses that can not yet get DSL or cable in their area. You may thing this is a little pricy, but not for what you get.

This two way satellite system from your satellite internet provider will consist of a two foot by three foot dish, two modems, one for uplink and one for downlink, and coaxial cables that goes between the dish and modem. You must have a clear from of the southern sky for a satellite system to work. The satellites are orbiting over the equator and some things like heavy woods or sometimes down pouring rain can affect your signals. So, you may not have good reception.

Some of the companies that are a satellite internet provider are StarBand, Direcway, and Galileo. Starband offers solutions for residential as well as small businesses. For a residential system they offer one plan with three different payment options. The StarBand Model 360 standard plan first payment option is no yearly contracts, equipment costs are $599.99 and your monthly fee will be $49.99 per month. Their second payment option is for a one year contract with a $399.99 equipment fees and your monthly fee for service will be $69.99. If you go with a two year contract your equipment fees will be the same but your monthly service fee will be $59.99 per month. If you are a small business then your fees of course will be more. The basic for small office equipment is with a one year contract, with the equipment fees costing $899.99 and monthly service fees at $159.99 per month.

Direcway satellite internet provider has two ways you can pay. You can start with paying $599.99 and then $59.99 per month for 15 months. They have another great plan where you pay $99.99 upfront and then $99.99 per month for the first 15 months. After the first 15 months your service payments will go down to the $59.99 like the above offer. They do not care which plan you choose. The first $99.99 covers the cost of delivery and installation by their own certified personnel.

Galileo satellite internet provider can be another choice for your internet needs in a rural area. They have three plans for you to choose from basic, plus and premium. Their basic plan will give you 380 Kbps download speed and 100 to 120 Kbps upload speed with 1 gig of transfer per month. This plan will cost you $139.00 per month. The Plus plan offers 750 Kbps download speed and 180 to 220 Kbps upload speed with 2 gigs of transfer monthly. Their premium plan offers 1500 Kbps download speed and 450 to 500 Kbps upload speed with 3 gigs of transfer monthly.

With all of these options for a satellite internet provider there will be no place on earth with a view of the equator that will not be able to connect to the internet.
